Hyundai Robotics HH7 case study | Flexible feeder & machine-vision automation

A smart feeding automation case applying AIM's ROBOEYE vision and AIVE flexible feeder to a Hyundai HH7 robot. ±0.2 mm accuracy and 5-minute recipe changeover maximize process efficiency.

🏭 Overview

This case is an integrated automation system based on the Hyundai HH7 robot with a flexible feeder (AIVE) + machine vision (ROBOEYE). It feeds, recognizes, and picks high-mix small parts quickly and accurately, achieving 80% shorter changeover, ±0.2 mm alignment accuracy, and a defect rate under 0.1% versus conventional vibratory feeders.

🧠 How it works

  1. The robot sends a capture trigger to the vision system.
  2. ROBOEYE analyzes the image and computes the pickup coordinates.
  3. If a pick isn’t possible, the feeder is controlled automatically to re-align.
  4. After re-imaging, pickable coordinates are sent.
  5. The robot picks the part at the exact position and moves it.

This loop maximizes productivity and enables non-stop automation even on high-mix, low-volume lines.
